Warung Kopi
One of the most popular place to cangkruk for the society is Warung Kopi, usually it's called WarKop for short. In Surabaya, there are so many Warkop. Aside from that, there are so may types of warkop. As the name indicates Warung Coffe (Small Coffee Shop), of course warkop sells coffee. Usually, warkop also sells many fried food, such as fried banana, filled tofu, and many other snacks.
Warkop has many shapes. From warkop which have semi-permanent building, to warkop shich has a permanent building, to warkop which has only a cart like building. Warung Kopi usually placed on the side of the streets near offices. Some of the reason why they open small shops near offices is so that when people are taking rest from their work, they would go to the small shop to buy coffe / tea because the price in these warkop is relatively cheap.
The coffee provided here has many varieties. The most common thing here, warkop sells many types of instant coffee, but there are also warkop that sells their own mix of coffee. Usually the original mix of warkop is called Kopi Tubruk, the flavour they make is way stronger than the coffee that are usually sold in the market.
Aside from coffee, there are many other types of drinks here. Starting from tea, bottled drinks and sometimes we can find cukrik (Javanese alcoholic drink). The drinks here is usually really cheap, it's only sold for Rp.1.000,00 - Rp.3.000,00. And the fried food here is usually also very cheap. It's only around Rp.500,00 - Rp.2.000,00.
